I TOOK A MENTAL HEALTH BREAK, WHY YOU SHOULD DO THE SAME

HEY BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE,

It has been a long while since my last post back in November of 2020, and I must say I had to take a step back and take a much needed break from blogging, social media among other things to get myself together for the betterment of my mental health because just like most of what others around the world experienced, COVID and all the craziness of that and other negative things going on affected many people in so many different ways, and it creatively effected me as well, not to mention life as we know it was changed forcefully in one year so fast.

So why did I take a break during the pandemic? Well because I am an empath, I absorb so many emotions from people and situations on top of my own, and everything that was going on since 2020 from all over dealing with many different negative situations began to effect me. I’m the type of person where if I see a problem I try to find solutions for those problems, sometimes even before solving my own issues and situations, I tend to overthink and deal with anxiety because I can’t control or change what may need to be fixed. Well knowing better and knowing how this type of behavior or action isn’t healthy to my own mental health because of course I can’t solve everyone’s problems or for that matter the world’s issues, I had to totally stop engaging in the things that are not serving my purpose because it was taking me off course and making me unbalanced, so I took a break to get back to my higher self.

There was a shift within myself and without that lead me to refocus and only apply myself to the things within my control. So I begin to refocus on the things that would only serve purpose to help me progress and that meant once again removing myself from most of the negativity that is going on in the world but of course still being aware but not always reacting to it as well as removing the negativity within my own personal life and get back to the things that matter the most to me which included finishing up my book I put off writing for almost two years and yes the book is now finished and I’m very proud of it . What the pandemic taught me is that life is very serious with limited time and in a blink of an eye everything can change, of course I’ve known this for years but seeing the world literally stop and people lose everything and love ones dying and how our society has been turned upside down, put that statement in a whole different prospective. I’m truly grateful for everything I have in my life big or small and I’m grateful for the information and knowledge I have to fully check myself whenever I need to take a break and refocus, so that I don’t go down that dark path of negativity and whatever comes with that.

WHY YOU TOO SHOULD TAKE A MENTAL BREAK

It is very important that you take care of your mental health. If you are dealing with difficulties like depression, anxiety, clinical or physical issues that are taking a toll on your mental health or if you just need a minute to take a break to breathe, you should do everything in your power to get help with those issues to make life a little better for yourself. Everyone goes through things, even with just living life daily, things come up, things don’t go as plan, money problems, relationship issues, medical issues, pain and hurt feelings, deep rooted issues that may be causing major issues in your life today, Whatever it is that you are experiencing, you should allow yourself to get to the root cause and start to mend yourself to get better from it.

Sometimes we put things off or block things out, not realizing those things will eventually come to the surface in some way shape or form and if we don’t take the time out to deal with it, these same issues, problems and situations can be the cause of you going off track down a self destructive path of darkness. You have to want to change the way you are just getting by in life. No one just wants to get by in life, you should live life to the fullest with a sense of joy, peace, love and freedom and when things arise you will have the tools and knowledge to help you get through the rough times while still being able to stay on your feet.

Do what’s best for your mental health, your mental health is the first step and connection to everything else that you do in your life, it’s what helps you make decisions, it’s what helps put yourself in good healthy habits, it’s what connects you with the right people, it’s what determines your days It is what motivates you or stop you. Do your best to take the steps to put your mind at ease to move in the path you want for yourself.
